Fantasia
& Global Remote Controls
Both
the Fantasia and the Global remote controls work in a similar
way but must only be used with their respective companies fans.
For example a Fantasia remote can only be used with a Fantasia
fan and not a Global (and vice versa)
A
ceiling fan remote control comes in 2 parts. A handset that controls
both the 3 speeds of the fan and also turns on / off / dims the
light (if a light kit is attached) The other part is the receiver
unit that simply wires into the fan and is hidden inside the top
cowling that covers the fans attachment to the ceiling. Because
of this position the receiver unit cannot be externally seen.
This does not effect the dimensions or drop of the fan.
The
handset then interacts with the receiver to control the fan. The
Handset can control both the fan and the light independently from
each other (so it is possible to just have the light on without
the fan rotating or vice versa) The Handset also comes with a
carrier that can be fixed to a wall for storage of the device.
The
remote control does not require any additional wiring to the ceiling
fan therefore it is often choosen as the simpler option instead
of the double gang wall control which does require additional
wiring (3-core and earth).
Both
remote controls are the latest models designed with reliability
and performance in-mind.
